The short version
- Completo stores your email address and the ops you add, so your list is there whenever you sign in.
- There are no ads, analytics, or trackers in Completo, and we never sell your information.
- You can delete your account and everything in it at any time, from Settings.
Who we are
Completo (“Completo,” “we,” “us”) is an independent app for tracking recurring tasks, available at completoapp.com. This policy explains what information Completo collects, how it’s used, and the choices you have. If you have a question about it, email us at support@completoapp.com.
What we collect
Your account. Your email address, which is how you sign in. If you use Sign in with Google, Google also shares your name, a link to your profile picture, and a Google account ID with us. Completo doesn’t display or use your name or picture.
Your ops. The ops you add, along with their settings: how often each one repeats, whether it’s checked off, and the date you last completed it. We also store timestamps, such as when each op was added and when your list was last saved.
Sign-in and security data. When you sign in, our sign-in provider records the time, your IP address, and your browser type, to help keep your account secure. Like any website, Completo’s hosting providers also process basic request data, such as IP addresses, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Messages you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever your message contains.
That’s everything. Completo doesn’t use analytics, advertising, or tracking tools of any kind.
How we use it
We use your information only to run Completo:
- to sign you in, save your ops, and keep them in sync across your devices;
- to keep Completo and your account secure, and to fix problems;
- to reply when you contact us;
- to send emails you need, like sign-in links and important notices about your account or this policy. We don’t send marketing emails.
Legal bases (EU and UK). We process your information to provide Completo under our agreement with you (our Terms of Service), for our legitimate interests in keeping Completo secure and responding to you, and to meet legal obligations.
Browser storage
Completo doesn’t set any cookies. It uses your browser’s local storage for two things the app needs to work: keeping you signed in, and keeping a copy of your ops on your device so the app loads quickly and keeps working through brief connection drops.
Signing out removes your sign-in from that browser. The copy of your ops stays in the browser until you delete your account or clear your browser’s data for completoapp.com, so if you use a shared computer, clear that data when you’re done.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your information, and we don’t share it for advertising. We share it only with the service providers that run Completo, and only as much as each one needs to do its job:
- Supabase stores your account and ops, and handles sign-in.
- Netlify hosts the Completo website.
- Resend delivers the emails we send, such as sign-in links.
- Cloudflare runs our domain and forwards messages sent to our support address.
- Google provides Sign in with Google, if you use it, and hosts the inbox where support emails arrive. Google’s handling of your information is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or when it’s necessary to protect the rights, safety, or security of our users, the public, or Completo. If Completo is reorganized or transferred to a new owner, your information may be transferred as part of that, and this policy will continue to apply to it.
Where it’s stored
Completo is based in the United States. Our service providers may store and process your information in the United States and in other countries where they operate.
How long we keep it
- Your account and ops: for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account in Settings, your account and all of your ops are permanently deleted from our database right away.
- Sign-in and security records: for as long as they’re needed to keep Completo secure. Some may remain for a period after an account is deleted.
- Emails you send us: until they’re no longer needed to help you. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
Your choices and rights
- See and edit your ops anytime in the app.
- Export a list of your ops with Export Ops. For a complete copy of the information we hold about you, email us.
- Delete your account and all of your ops from Settings.
- Ask us to access, correct, or delete your information, or anything else about your privacy, at support@completoapp.com. We’ll respond within 30 days.
If you’re in the EU, the UK, or another place with similar laws, you also have the right to object to or restrict how we use your information, to receive it in a portable format, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Depending on where you live, you may have other rights as well, and we’ll honor them as the law requires.
Children
Completo isn’t intended for anyone under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe someone under 16 has created an account, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Security
Every connection to Completo is encrypted with HTTPS, and your data is encrypted where it’s stored. Database rules ensure each account can access only its own data. Because you sign in with a one-time email link or with Google, Completo never stores a password. No system is perfectly secure, so we can’t promise absolute security.
Do Not Track
Completo doesn’t track you across websites and doesn’t let anyone else do so, so it works the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we’ll let you know in the app or by email before it takes effect.
